As a kind of water transport, Ship has made great contributions to the development ofhumanity, but how to avoid the collision accidents between the ships has been a veryimportant issue in sailing. As the primary means of ship anti-collision, radar often subject toweather and sea conditions and terrain effects. Therefore, it is very necessary to develop a newdetection system to solve this problem. However, as a means of underwater dissemination ofinformation, the sound signal provides us with a new way of thinking.MEMS vector hydrophone is a novel sensor researched independently by the NorthUniversity of China, which has the advantages of small size, vector, lot manufacturing withwell consistent, low cost and can detect underwater sound signals,With the growingmaturity of production process and performance. The system rely on T-hydrophone, combinedwith DSP control system, It implements the echo detection of underwater sound signals, whichlaid the foundation to solve the barrier system from the environment. The paper mainly includes the following contents:1. Making a brief introduction to active sonar detection system related factors, theworking principle of the hydrophone and echo detection method.2. Highlighting the production process, testing and calibration of the hydrophone, analyzing the sensitivity and frequency response curve.3. Designing the active sonar system hardware circuit, which includes the DSP, thetransmitting and receiving circuit, display systems, alarm systems and its peripheral corecircuit, etc. 4. Combined with the hardware schematics, launch the procedure program, receivinghandler program and the display alarm program are compiled in a modular fashion.5. Anechoic water tank experiments and natural waters experiments are measured toactive sonar ranging system.the results show that the sonar ranging system basically meets thedesign requirements, verifying the experimental data and analyzing the causes of error.6. Through testing, the experiments summed up some problems existing in the systemand proposed the improvement program and future direction of development. This successful test of the system has laid a good foundation for putting the T-vectorhydrophone sonar ranging system into use in the future.
