The small piles composite foundation and the structures of the sluice were studied with the help of3-D finite element software ABAQUS. The regularities of the stress and strain about the small piles composite foundation and the structures of the sluice and the load-sharing ratio of piles and soil were analyzed. The main study contents as follows:(1) The formation condition about the composite foundation and the failure mode about the composite foundation of piles were analyzed, combined with the definition and classification of the composite foundation. At the same time, the load carrying capacity and the basic theories of the settlement calculation about the composite foundation of piles were studied.(2) The finite element model about the composite foundation of small piles and the bottom plate of sluice was set up. The regularities of stress and strain about the small piles composite foundation and mechanical property about the small piles and the load-sharing ratio of piles and soil were studied. The changes about the external load and the parameter about the pile’s surrounding soil and the contact friction coefficient and the elastic modulus of piles and bottom plate were studied and their effects on settlement of the small piles composite foundation and horizontal displacement about the top of piles and the load-sharing ratio of piles and soil were analyzed. The curve fitting for the parameters which had greater effects was carried out and the regular changes were found out.(3) Considering the effect of the upper structure, the whole finite element model about the sluice and the small piles composite foundation was built. The regularities of the stress and strain about the small piles composite foundation and the structure of sluice were analyzed. At the same time, the load-sharing ratio of piles and soil under each working condition in actual engineering project was studied. The changes about the elastic modulus of sluice chamber and the external load and the parameter about the pile’s surrounding soil and the elastic modulus of piles and the contact friction coefficient were studied and their effects on settlement of the small piles composite foundation and horizontal displacement about the top of piles and the load-sharing ratio of piles and soil were analyzed. The curve fitting for the parameters which had greater effects was carried out and the regular changes were found out.(4) The settlement of the small piles composite foundation was analyzed with the method of composite modulus and the result was compared with the one that was got from the actual small piles composite foundation. The changes about the external load and the parameter about the pile’s surrounding soil and the ratio of modulus between the piles and soil were studied with two methods and their effects on settlement were analyzed. The curve fitting for the parameters was carried out and the regular changes were found out. The whole finite element model about the sluice was built.
