The three themes "Environmental protection,Energy saving and Security" lead thedevelopment of the automotive industry.Vehicle aerodynamics is closely related tothese three themes.So in-depth research of automobile aerodynamics is of greatsignificance for Chinese independently developed high levels of automobile.As the world energy crisis, increasingly rise in oil prices and the full carrying outof energy-saving and emission reduction work of our country, improving vehicle fueleconomy, reducing vehicle energy consumption are extremely urgent. At the sametime, with the continuous improvement of people’s living standard, aesthetic andcomfortable requirements of automobile are continuously raising. Automobile bodysurface contamination not only destroy the beauty of the automobile, but also directlyaffect the comfort and health of passengers. Effective solution to these problems cannot leave the research of vehicle aerodynamics. For this purpose, this paper mainlyfocus on the drag reduction and dust soiling study of some minibus.Firstly, in case that streamlined design and body local optimization method arerelatively mature, the space using traditional methods to reduce aerodynamic drag isgetting moer and more small. By reduction drag with Bionics and the revelation of thegolf balls with the pit non-smooth surface flying farther, the top of Minivans is madepit non-smoothing, The drag reduction effect of rectangle, rhombus, equidifferent pitarrangement is discussed, and the rectangular arrangement with better drag reductioneffect is chosen as optimization objective. the approximation model and geneticalgorithm are introduced to seek non-smooth surface of the rectangular pit with thebest drag reduction effect. The result shows that the drag coefficient of the rectangularpit arrangement is maximum7.71%decreased behind the optimization.Secondly, the dust soiling of automobile is increasingly important, and becomingone of important research content of tautomobile r aerodynamics. These are litterresearch of dust soiling in domestic. This paper studies dust soiling of a minibus bynumerical simulation with DPM,then to discuss setting the appropriate boundaryconditions, solution parameters and DPM parameter.To analysis of the formation causeand mechanism of the side and back dust soiling, lying the foundation for further studyand optimization of the dust soiling. Finally, obtaining the area of automotive dust soiling with the image processingsoftware Photoshop,so order to quantificat dust soiling area,paving the way forfurther research to reduce dust pollution.Then discussing the effect of the choke plate,round mouth tailgate, fenders etc. other aid-devices to reduce aerodynamic drag anddust pollution.
