Geopark has achieved great success in China since it was unveiled in2000, whichinclude22world GeoParks,182national GeoParks, and more than100state GeoParks. Andthe GeoPark system scattered around the country has established initially.However, for the unbalance of the development of GeoPark, the future of GeoPark isgreatly influenced. In this paper, the avenues for development of GeoPark tourism is analysedby investigation on the basis of GeoPark planning.In this paper, by following the tourism sustainable development theory, location theory,areal division of labour theory, and tourism resourse systems theory, which provide theeffective theory support for theory works, the problem that how these theorys promote thetourism development of GeoPark is analysed.On the expirical aspect, Erlian Haote country GeoPark is taken for example. On the basisof knowing the status of Erlian Haote tourism development, and the investigation of theexisting tourism resourse, the development of GeoPark is analysed by using SWOT methodand environmental capacity control method. On the premise of targeting the domestic andabroad tourism markets, the relative tourism products will be invented. And all these productswill take science tourism as the core, take the leisure vactation tourism and sports tourism aslightspot, and produce the product the deverse and distinct structure system on the center ofCreataceous dinosaur hometown theme and from the support of all kinds tourism, and desingnthe investigation route for the need of tourists. At the same time, the suggestion that theGeoPark should strengthen management, increase investment and expand businesspropaganda should be taken to promote the tourism development.
