Rotating machinery takes a very important place in the process of industrial production, The safe operation of rotating machinery is directly related to the profit of enterprises and people’s life and property safety. As the development of industry and the improving of actual production need, Periodic repair has not up to the requirements,people must use the method of real time monitoring for large rotating machinery, we need to find the possible fault and take necessary measures to avoid these failures occur.Vibration monitoring and fault diagnosis system for rotating machinery based on VC++6.0and SQLSever2000was developed in the paper, which used multiple document view frame in VC++MFC with the characteristics of multi graph display and window pattern.The system realize the function of condition monitoring and fault diagnoisis for the rotor kit.lt consists of setting,data acquisition, graph display and intelligent fault diagnosis module.Database is set up inthis paper which makes store and transfer data convenient.Graph display module realize the function of displaying bars view,wave and frequency spectrum view, two dimensional holospectrum view, three dimensional holospectrum view, shaft orbit view,rotational speed and time view,Bode view,Nyquist view. Intelligent fault diagnosis module is based on the fault knowledge of steam turbine.BP neural network optimized by genetic algorithm is used in fault diagnoisis which improve the accuracy of diagnoisis and is capable of common steam turbine fault diagnosis.Finally,data is collected on the rotor kit on site,every module is verified and results met the requirements.
