In engineering practice, the technical personnel often meets the re-excavation ofbackfilling deep pit. There are many reasons which lead to backing, but we can assort themtwo types: initiative backfilling due to lack money and so on; passive backfilling due todisaster and so on. There will be a lot of difference of the soil inside and outside there-excavation deep foundation pit and there are some differences between the old and newbuilding envelope.These factors lead the big diversity of the mechanical behavior. And thereis designing software called Li Zheng about geotechnical that can not take both of them intoaccount, so the contradiction comes out. The purpose of this paper is how to solve theproblem.This paper is to find the discipline about the mechanical behavior of re-excavation pitwith the software Midas/GTS. In this paper, we do not consider the seepage, but we mustsimulate the dynamic process about the re-excavation. When we simulate the process, wemust make sure that the parameter comes from the geological report designing documentsand on-side observation.The main works of this paper are as follows:(1) We must collect the engineering geological about the project. Then we must analyzethe material for the simulation. In the paper,I consider the effect of failure surface. In orderto find out the discipline, I take comparative analysis about backfilling and non-backfillingpit.(2) In this paper, a more in-depth study of engineering examples, including: earthpressure within the brace axial force, the internal forces and displacements of the buildingenvelope is running.Then I compare the date of record and the result of simulation. Then Isimply the computing model. Finally, I compared this situation with non backfilling pit.(3) Compared the three kinds of material which would be filled in the pit. Then find outthe discipline. Finally, I give my suggestion about the designing of re-excavation backfillingpit.
