With the rapid development of modern control theory the application and theelectronics technology, electric power steering system(EPS) has become focal pointof research in the vehicle engineering field in recent years,more and moreuniversities,research institutions and auto manufacturers pay their attention to it.Inthis paper,I choose the EPS as the main object of study, and use the way such astheoretical analysis and computer simulation to study the EPS.Based on the mufti-body dynamics, using the ADAMS/CAR, the vehicle modelincluding the front and rear suspension system, the steering system, the tires systemthe power train, the brake system and corresponding road files are built. A new way toadd the assist power on the steering system is applied and the files which are used inthe simulation are written. We focusing on the modeling process of electric powersteering system, and the control interface setting by the use of the modeling process ofthe control module in Adams and Matlab/simulink. On this basis we introduce therealization of co-simulation methods. Introduce the concept and the classification ofsteering curve. To ascertain the powering curve we used in this thesis. The buildingprocess of control-model in Matlab/simulink.Also simulation was employed to verifythe co-simulation model achieved the basic functions of power characteristic curve;We analyze the influence caused by the control-strategy.The co-simulation resultsprove that EPS built in this thesis has more return-ability and handiness.
