With the aggregation of population and economic development, modern city becomes increasingly dependent on lines of communication shown under Earthquakes. Bridge as one of the main lines of communication, its security attracts widespread attention. As an economic and efficient way of earthquake proof, bridge damping technology has made rapid development. SMA caused more and more attention in the field of bridge structures with its super-elastic properties, shape memory effect and high damping characteristics and unique properties such as excellent.This paper systematically summarizes the principles of the bridge by damping technology, introduced the commonly used damping devices and there performance and requirements, then simplified the damping bridge into two degrees of freedom model to study the dynamic properties. Through the establishment of a complex finite element model of the bridge, the dynamic time-history analysis has been made under the activation of Tianjin and Kobe-wave for conventional bearing bridge, laminated rubber bearing bridge and that installed SMA wire composite bearing. Conclusions are as follows:(1) SMA wire composite bearings use the super-elastic hysteresis performance of shape memory alloy to achieve the passive energy dissipation and to enhance resilience. The shortage of small damping in the laminated rubber bearings resilience has been overcome.(2) The seismic isolation bridge installed the laminated rubber bearing and SMA wire composite bearing has good effect of seismic reducing and isolation, and can meet the security needs of the bridge structure to some extent.(3) The seismic isolation of SMA wire composite bearing is better than that of the laminated rubber bearing, not only because increased the upper structure of the natural cycle, but the controlling of the isolation layer displacement to achieve a better effect of seismic reducing and isolation.。...
