During the demolition of reinforced concrete chimney, choosing rational demolitionparameters is crucial to the success of the demolition. Three groups of different finite elementsimulations can preview the course of demolition by directional collapse, and estimate collapserange and time. Based on this, the effects of reinforced concrete chimney demolition bydirectional collapse under different demolition cut central angels are researched. The resultsshow that under other parameters invariable premise, remainder-prop damage time, chimneysinkage time, demolition cut closed time and chimney collapse time decrease with demolition cutcentral angels increasing. Demolition cut central angels have no obvious effect on chimneycollapse range. Then making use of the value conditions of the demolition cut height ofreinforced concrete chimney by directional collapse and considering the inclination of chimney, the formula for calculating the demolition cut height for any demolition cut central angel isfounded.According to the mechanical analysis in the stage of the cut closed and in the stage ofcontinuing collapsing after the cut closed, motion equations and the relevant analysis formulasare analyzed. The cause of recoil phenomena is comprehensively discussed. These methods ofchoosing parameters and judging recoil are basically reasonable in practice.
