The Research Of TLA On Modified Mechanism And Application

Trinidad Lake Asphalt(TLA) is natural(rock) asphalt, producted in the coastal Plateau of Trinidad that located in northeastern South America.Engineering practice proved that the natural(rock) asphalt has very good road performance, gradually,it is also applicated proverbially at home with the development of economy.But it contains a great deal of ash and asphalt,it cannot be applied directly in road, generally speaking,it is only applied as additives that is added in matrix asphalt.TLA as additives is asphalt,it has not only good compatibility but also obvious modification effect when it is added in matrix asphalt.TLA modified asphalt is applicated more and more,but the related research of modification mechanism, is not clear, not thorough.In view of this,this paper mainly study on the modification mechanism of TLA.The study is divided into two aspects,on the one hand analysis TLA asphalt composition and do dynamic shear rheological test of two Samples of mortar specimen, establish the relation of rut factor and actual filler-asphalt ratio of two kinds of mortar specimen,according to the relation of the two kinds of mortar,calculate the corresponding rut factor at a same ratio,the difference of the rutting factors response modification effect of the TLA asphalt.Thus,analysis the influence of TLA asphal on high temperature properties of binder.On the other hand, measure the adhesion work of Asphalt mortar to study the ash modified mechanism.Do a total of two tests to study of the modification effect of ash.One part is to do dynamic shear test of asphalt mortar that the actual filler-asphalt ratio is different.Analysis the influence of filler-asphalt ratio on ash modification effect and rut factor.Another part,The ash as filler is added to the mixture,do the rutting test,immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test to Analysis the influence of ash on Asphalt Mixture’s high temperature performance and water stability, based on the analysis of the results,ash can improve the high temperature performance of asphalt mixture, produce certain effect on the water stability of asphalt mixture.Finally, basing on the project of Shan Jie Chaozhou high-speed section, paveing test section, according to the climate and traffic conditions of Guangdong province, do gradation design and mixture design. Mixture indicators meet the design documents and the quality control requirements.
