As automobile ownerships increasing, today, the road traffic capacity is growing tobe saturated. The driving environment is deteriorating, and the traffic accident ratio isincreasing too. According to statistics According to statistics, the traffic accident rate onhighway per100km is four times more than that in ordinary road. In order to avoid theunsafe effects of the automobile the intelligent safety technology equipped in the carshould be employed. And then, in this paper, the research on Intelligent Vehicle SafetyAssistance System with Intelligent Lane Changing&Obstacle Avoiding Function hasgreat theoretical and practical significance.Firstly, through discussing about the scheme of the safety assistance system design.Composition modules of its hardware control system are introduced, including mastercontrol module, sensor acquisition module and image processing module, etc.. themethod to detecting the roadway on highway and the front obstacle car in thisintelligent lane changing system is put forward to do security guiding work during thelane changing and obstacle avoiding process.Secondly, the model of4WS vehicle highway intelligent lane change model isimproved. After analyzing the vehicle movement relationship when lane changing, theleast safety distance while lane changing and a new kind of intelligent vehicle lanechanging track plan are put forward, and its advantage is proved too.At last, aiming to features of the control system employed in four-wheel steeringcar, auto-regulative fuzzy PID lane change track tracking controller is designed. Thevehicle lane changing trajectory tracking is simulated, and get a good trackingperformance finally.
