In recent years, expressway has been constructed in a rapid pace and achieved greatdevelopment at home and abroad. At the same time, the highway construction andoperation caused a series of environmental and social problems, such as soil erosion,lands segmentation, ecological destruction, noise pollution and so on, which has beenincreasingly prominent. In the light of the highway environment has the characteristicsof wide impact, various factors, long period, so it is necessary to do the environmentevolution analysis. Doing highway environmental quantitative evaluation analysis,finding highway environment evolution, predicting the future trend of the environmentand leting people learn of common environment condition directly have realisticmeanings for mulating regional planning, urging relevant departments to take effectiveenvironmental protection measures and knocking up the people’s environmentalprotection awareness.The paper takes the following four stages to achieve the goal mentioned above: Firstof all, the ecological environment evaluation identified as the fellowship point, thenreferencing "ecological environment assessment technical specifications (try out)"(HJ/T192-2006), quoting the four indexes for ecological environmental quality assess-ment content and entrusting with the weigh for the factors contained in it.The step oneprovides an operational method for EQI (ecological environment quality comprehensiveindex) quantitative evaluation. Second, the peper got EQI(Eco-environmental qualityindex)value in the past years through collecting highway area’s remote sensing imagesin each year, cuting out the expressway area in remote sensing image processingplatform, interpreting and classifying image for eight features area.Third, predictionmodel is build by the thinking of with the part data model building, with the other recentdata as a model examine. All EQI data is divided into two parts of the modeling build-ing and model verification, a time series ARMA have have been bulit and havereliability test through the prediction error analysis, using the model to predict futurethree years’ EQI value. Finally, the Foundation work is collecting the topographic map,hydrological records and building distribution situation material,editing and processingthe material data and establishing DEM (digital terrain model) on the ArcGISvisualization platform.Then the paper realize3d visualization by loading features3drendering on the ground benchmark which is DEM elevation and achieve animationevolution by creating space flight path and time animation path. The main achievements and conclusions are as follows:①The quantitative rating ofthe ecological environment quality;②Interpreting and classifying surface features areafrom remote sensing image;③The ARMA model having being build based on thehistorical data and relevatively accurate prediction of the future environment condition;④Producing visualization animation of environment dynamic evolution along thehighway. The predicted data and animation reflected directly that the current ecologicalenvironment improved, but overall it will be still at a relatively low level.
