The moving vehicle crossing a bridge may cause the vibration of the bridge, while the vibration of the bridge may affect the vibration of the vehicle, which will raise the problem of the vehicle-bridge coupling dynamics. With increase of train speed and lightening and enlarging of bridge structures, the vehicle-bridge coupling dynamics becomes increasingly intensifiedIn this paper, the vehicle-bridge coupling dynamics is analyzed in aspects of vehicle model, vibration sources, numerical analysis method, etc. The vehicle-bridge coupling dynamics model is established by coupling of vehicle vibration and bridge vibration with compatibility equations of displacement and force of vehicle-bridge interaction.Taking into account that the development of a comprehensive finite element analysis program is a voluminous task, the differential equations of vehicles is solved by ANSYS software. Consequently, the results obtained from the vehicle system will implement the solution of brigde system. Finally, the implemented programs is verified by comparing analysis results with some numerical examples.Based on the correctness of theoretical derivation and solution correctness, conducts the Fenfangwan rail-cum cable-stayed bridge dynamic characteristic analysis and vehicle-bridge coupling dynamic analysis, and then comes to some conclusions.
