30years of reform and opening up, China’s comprehensive national power hasbeen constantly strengthened, highway also get the unprecedented development.Chongqing highway ride the infrastructure construction boom,“two Ring eight shot”highway network was opened to traffic, traffic mileage of Chongqing expresswayarrived1860kilometers (including inner loop), along the line the bridge, tunnel and highslope etc structures more, at present main road bridges of opened traffic have1372seats,more than282kilometers, the bridge proportion of15.1%.Simply supported continuousbeam bridges have them own continuity, fewer expansion joint structure, provide highspeed, smooth and comfortable driving conditions, so it get a wide range of applicationsand development.This paper summarizes the development Overview and research status of thesimply supported continuous beam bridge, survey design, construction and operatingconditions of simply supported continuous beam bridge belong to ChongqingExpressway, analyze the mechanical properties, bearing disease and the offset disease ofhandover pier on the simply supported continuous bridge,Bearing defects change the boundary conditions of the bridge, consideringcracking and failure modes of the simply supported structural continuous beam bridgealong with the most unfavorable load layout, different loading arrangements have beenanalyzed.Analysis on migration disease process of handover pier and the various affectingfactors,obtained the relevant data and conclusions for reference to relevant personnel.Finally, design methods, construction techniques and operating of the simplysupported continuous beam bridges are summarized, Put forward the guiding suggestionon issues related of design, construction and operation.The research results provide certain reference value for the design, constructionand operation of simply-supported structure continuous girder bridge.With research work thorough development of the simply supported continuousbeam bridge, it will provide a richer theoretical results for further application of the simply supported continuous beam bridges, result in greater economic efficiency andsocial efficiency.
