Composite structure, the type of structure which possess the both merits of steel structure and concrete structure.is now being used by more and more civil engineering projects because of its superior mechanical property. But whether we can bring this property into full play or not,to a great extent,relies on how well the steel structure can combine with the concrete structure.And that.requires us to do full research and discussion on steel-concrete composite structure.Jiujiang Changjiang Highway Bridge is one of the most representative cable stayed bridge using steel-concrete composite structures.To begin with.this article presented the general situation of its development and features,after that an analysis on the steel-concrete composite section of Jiujiang Changjiang Highway Bridge using Ansys(3D finite element analysis software) was carried out to analyze its mechanical property overall when was set under3different combinition of load,and discuss the result,analyze the mechanical behaviour of the steel-concrete composite section,then rise some advise to optimize its structure.In addition.an finite model of steel grid inside the steel-concrete composite section was built to analyze the mechanical behavior inside the section and the mechanical property of the shear connectors,firstly,the load extracted from the total finite model would be applied to the partial finite model.then the result would be analyzed,after that,a discussion on factors that effect the mechanical behaviour of the shear connectors would be carried out to explore how the mechanical behaviour of the shear connectors changes as these factors changes.Last but not the least, this article presented some comments on the construction of the steel-concrete composite section as the construction quality is another sector that tied up with the mechanical property of the steel-concrete composite section of Jiujiang Changjiang Highway Bridge after the bridge is final completed.
