The application of servo system of permanent magnet synchronousmotor (PMSM) in the field of industrial control is more and more extensive,and its theoretical and practical application is also always one hot issue ofconcern and research. As one of the important links of servo system,system regulating system of PMSM has developed rapidly as well.Model of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is a systemwith multiple variables, nonlinearity and close coupling, while slidingmode control (SMC) has the advantages including fast response,insensitivity to parameters change and disturbance, easy engineeringrealization and etc., which provides an excellent solution for complicatedindustrial control problem. PMSM system regulating system of the paperuses TMS320F2812as master chip and controls with sliding modecontroller for which the exponential approaches rule. The system has alsomade design for hardware and software of system,it has very importanttheoretical and practical value.The main research work and conclusions of the paper are as follows:Introduce historical background and meanings of AC systemregulating system; analyze domestic and international current researchsituation and trends; establish mathematical model of PMSM in dq0coordinate system; describe and analyze principles of space vector pulsewidth modulation (SVPWM).Introduce basic principle of sliding mode variable structure, describedesign of sliding mode controller of system regulating system of PMSMbased on basic principles, and give position equation and incrementalexpression of sliding mode controller; simulate PI control and slide modecontrol of system regulating system of PMSM with Matlab software andmake comparison and analysis on simulation results obtained from twodifferent control algorithms. Advantage of slide mode variable structure isproven from the analysis.State design of hardware and software of speed regulating system ofPMSM; analyze design of some main electrical circuits and compilation of main programmes; perform trial commissioning on system, compare andanalyze test results of PI controller and sliding mode controller. Thereliability and stability is proven from results of test, and it’s also certifiedfrom the test many advantages of sliding mode variable structure controllerincluding fast dynamic response, small electromagnetic torque pulsation,stability and etc.Simulation research and test results has verified with theoreticalanalysis that the theory and technology of speed regulating system assumedin the paper has good performance and the designed system is correct andvalid, which also lays a foundation for further research on the system.
