Study On Relevance Between POS And ATC Safety Management Performance

Perceived Organizational Support (POS) is the degree to which employees believe that their organization values their contributions and cares about their well-being and fulfills employees’socioemotional needs. Air traffic control (ATC) is a service of high risks and of high pressure. ATC’s services’effects are mostly reflected by safety management performance. ATC safety management performance means a comprehensive evaluation of risks, damages, operation condition of ATC safety management system (SMS). Controllers shoulder great safety responsibility. POS can directly affect their psychological states and working attitude and can affect their safety behaviors and safety performance. This thesis analyzes the performance, process and forms that POS displayed on ATC safety management performance and discussed the relevance between controllers’POS and safety performance on the basis on empirical studies and at last put forward the POS management strategies for ATC safety management performance.This thesis’s introduction explained the study targets, meanings, research status and technology roadmap of POS and safety management performance. Then it put forward the POS’s mechanism of action on ATC safety management performance on the basis of analysis of causal variables and the concepts of POS and ATC safety management performance. Based on the concept model of interaction of POS with safety management performance, a series of empirical analyses were conducted. A questionnaire and statistic were set up to investigate the present management status of POS and safety performance management in ATC organizations. Base on scale statistical results, the assumptions were analyzed through structural equation models. At last, this thesis put forward POS constructing strategies based on the target of improving ATC safety management performance.The main study results are:1. systematically summarized relative causal variables of POS and ATC safety management performance;2. constructed the relevance concept model of POS and ATC safety management performance;3. reached assumptions testing results through questionnaire and structural equation model;4. analyzed the mechanism of action that POS has on ATC safety management performance and put forward POS constructing strategies for ATC safety management performance.
