Typical aero-engine’s parts including the turbine disk, the leaf blade and the axis and so on, these typical parts’design has the vital significance. For instance, as a key part, the turbine disk directly exerts considerable parts on engine performance. The turbine disk of aero-engine is the most important part of the engine turbine rotor, and the engine’s performance could be directly affected by the quality of design. Designing the turbine disk part is a really difficult and complicated process, since it contains a lot of engineering hand drawings and dimensioning, which would affect the design process significantly. Owning to the lack of experience and habits, designers usually make some mistakes, such as:incorrect-dimensioning, mis-dimensioning, and irregular-dimensioning, which even can lead to a faulty part.Because of this, the following researches have been done:(1) Build a database for all kinds of standard turbine disk model, use the template technique to finish the2d drawings from the model’s projection, so that the efficiency of generating drawings is greatly improved;(2) Outputs engineering drawing document automatically based on template’s engineering drawing template style by the three-dimensional model. Completes the engineering drawing frame and the title bar edition through the man-machine interaction method.(3) Establish the tolerance database and embed in the UG platform to realize the rapid tolerance marking;(4) Present a part auto-dimensioning algorithm:from analyzing the shape of components, identifying the dimension objects and dimensioning methods, to set the dimensioning reference, generate the dimensioning. According to the feature shaping and the constraint relations between mapping unit to generate dimensions and optimized dimensions.Finally, an engineering drawing system is developed based on C#and UG systems, which is further used to design turbine disk. The results demonstrate that, using this system can significantly shorten the design cycle, reduce the cost and improve the design quality. Moreover, the algorithms mentioned in this paper are used in the system developing process, which further improve the level of intelligence and automation of the system while obtaining satisfactory results.
