The micro quad-rotor helicopter is a novel kind of UAV. This situation has opened the way to highly important applications for both military and civilian markets because of their inexpensive costs, simple construction and potentially simple flight control.The thesis analyzes characters of signals, relationships of ports and construction of quad-rotor helicopter avionics system. Management computer system and flight control computer system are designed based on these characters of the quad-rotor helicopter avionics system.Management computer system based on ARM is an association of an extended serial-port module, a communication module and a data processing module. The communication module exchanges flight status and commands with the earth station, communicates with the combined navigation module and the flight control computer system. The extended serial-port module supplies aerodynamics information to flight control computer system, and communicates with four rotor actuators. The data processing module collects the current and temperature status with A\D sampling module. Software including the configuration of PL2378clock and I\O ports, communication module, extended serial-port module and A\D collection module.Flight control computer system based on DSP is designed as it communicates with management computer system, collectes aerodynamics information and provides PWM and D\A outputs.The management computer system and the flight control computer system have significant engineering values, and provide a platform for future research in quad-rotor helicopter flight control methods.
