As an important bearing component in the aircraft fluid systems, aviation catheter is widelyused in all kinds of aircraft. Because the working pressure of catheter changes frequently,fracture happens a lot in tube connector. The surface shape between the main tube and thebranch pipe is complexity, so it is difficult to form the pipe joint through machiningtechnology directly.This paper analysed the characteristics of a certain kind of aircraft duct joints shape andsize, then studied the possibility of stamping forming for the half-shell of the tube connector.Based on this, put forward replaced manual forming with stamping process. Simulated theforming process of the part, by using finite element simulation technology, proposed specificmeasures and countermeasures to solve the defects of wrinkling and cracking may occur informing process.The drawbead and process hole are two important measures to improve the performance ofsheet metal in forming process, but their parameters must be strictly controled. Based on thecharacteristic of the half-shell of the conduit fitting, this paper systematically analyzeddrawbead and technological hole how to affect sheet metal forming performance in stamping.By using ABAQUS, it found out reasonable parameters of drawbead and process hole. Theresult shows that reasonable drawbead and technological hole can significantly improve theforming performance of sheet metal and improve safety margin.
