With the rapid development of power electronics technology, more and morepower electronic devices are widely used to lead to increasingly serious. Harmonicproblems affect not only the electricity users to use electricity in the safe, but alsothreaten the power system of security, stability, economic operation. Harmonicpollution becomes one of the most urgent issues in the development of powerelectronics technology. Active power filter(APF) is a kind of harmonic suppressionmethod of wide application and rapid development and has become an importantresearch topic in the power electronics discipline.Based on a lot of domestic and foreign literature, discuss the application statusof the mainstream with shunt APF, and study two key technologies of the activepower filter, Choose the control strategy of double direction compensation one-cyclecontrol for shunt APF, because it has many advantages: simple control circuit, rapidresponse speed. Working process of single-phase shunt APF under control strategy isanalyzed and the control circuit is designed. The simulation mode is built under theenvironment of PSCAD/EMTDC, simulation results in contrasting ways to verify thesuperiority of the control strategy. Analyze the control principle to establish itsmathematical model of three-phase shunt APF under double direction compensationone-cycle control. In order to verify the correctness and validity of the method, thesimulation models are built in PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that thecontrol method can effectively compensate for harmonics and reactive power withnon-linear load. Design each control part of the hardware circuit and build theexperimental platform of400VA single-phase shunt APF with double directioncompensation one-cycle control on the basis of simulation. Compensationperformance is further researched by test. Experimental results verify the theoreticalanalysis and simulation conclusions. APF has an effective compensation method for harmonic suppression and it provides a new direction for the practical application.
