Medical service system in large-scale ships plays the role of treating routine healthproblems for staffs and urgent accidents for wounded. Whether the assignment of systemresources, management of the treating procedure, and the running mechanism is rational andreasonable determines the performance of the medical system. Hence, for the purpose toadvance the performance of the system, it is needed to do enough analysis during the designphrase. But there is not a complete scientific method to do such analysis.Firstly, the characters of medical system in large-scale ships was analyzed in details anda running medical analysis method brought forth based on discrete-event system simulationtheory. Based on these characters, one customer-one service unit mode was described as asimple queueing service model, and further more be founded using Petri Net; and an extentmulti customers–multi service units model was founded to describe the whole system usingColourd Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets; and then the activity, reachability andboundedness of the system model was tested and verified.Secondly, the feasibility and usability of the system modeling and analysis methodtalked above were proved through a real ship with3000staff. The model of the medicalsystem of the ship with two modes (routine time and urgent accidents) was founded whilecorrecting some details because of this ship’s specificity. And the mathematics of these twomodes were also described and analyzed.Finnally, the founded model was runned under the circumstance of the software ofQUEST. The utilization of all service units in daily medical care system and the averagewaiting time of the wounded treated in emergency system were outputted. The output of thesimulation, data were analyzed and came out some conclusions: the assignment andmanagement of the whole medical system of this ship is rationally designed except severalcabins and some suggestions to the running mechanism of the system were brought forward. In reverse, the practicability of the analysis mehod was testified.
