| Along with the development of the underwater acoustic countermeasure technology, thelow frequency transducer in recent years has been studied hotly. Among the wide variety ofacoustic transducer family, class â…£ flextensional transduceris recognized as the potentialprojector with low frequency character. However the traditional class â…£flextensionaltransducer still has much work to do before becoming a real means of small size, lowfrequency projector.Firstly, some new structure and new material of flextensional transducers wereintroduced in this paper including related transducer analysis method. After the study of classâ…£ flextensional transducer, a new type of class â…£ transducer whose driving mechanism wasreplaced from original piezoelectric ceramic stacks to three groups of small class â…£flextensional transducers was proposed.Secondly, with the help of finite element analysis software ANSYS, a low frequencyclass â…£t ransducerwas modeled and analyzed. Content of analysis involves the resonancefrequency of the transducer, impedance characteristics and sound radiation performance inwater. Through the structure size optimization module, a low frequency flextensionaltransducer was designed.Finally, the transducer was made based on the size offer by the simulation calculation.The experimental result shows that the resonant frequency of transducer in water is290Hz,124.9dB for transmitting voltage response and largest source level is180.4dB. Theexperimental data agreed well with the simulation results. |
