Recently, the modern precise manufacturing, micro-electronics manufacturing industries are growing rapidly, which requires numeric-control machines high acceleration, high speed and high precise. Direct drive by using Permanent Magnet Synchronous Liner Motor is one of the essential approaches to high acceleration, high speed and high precise.The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Liner Motor directly transfer electric power to linear motion, without the traditional intermediate transmission from rotary motor to worktable, feeding system could directly drive load, which shows high acceleration, high speed and high precision advantages. Liner motors are used wider and wider in electric motor system, the connatural thrust fluctuation will influence the performance of the electric motor system, therefore it makes significant sense to improve and restrain the thrust fluctuation. Based on permanent magnet synchronous linear motor, this thesis analyzed it and gave measures to restrain the thrust fluctuation.This thesis introduced the basic structure, working principle and classification of permanent magnet synchronous linear motor, created model of basic magnetic field based on permanent material, briefly described basic theory of finite element method for electromagnetic field, and basic operation of software MaxWell. In order to analyze and reduce the magnetic thrust fluctuation of permanent magnet synchronous linear motor, the thesis investigated influence factors to thrust fluctuation list, and highlighted the key factor---Edge effect. This thesis conducted a proposal to optimize edge force by changing edge structure and dimensions. Theoretical calculation, finite element simulation, a lot of experiments indicated that the proposal is an effective measure to restrain the thrust fluctuation. In the end, this thesis analyzed and designed experiment and measurement test platform for key parameters (e.g. reverse electromotive force, force constant, edge force) of linear motor.
