With the continuous development of China’s modernization,power supply andconsumption gap was increasingly seirous,electric network pollution was aggravated daily, alot of power electronic equipment is commissioning, lead to the excess reactive demand andthe low power factor, this is one of influence to the quality of power system.In order to assurepower systems security and improve relationship of power supply and consumption.FixRcactivc Power Compensation Device in the power network can reduce rcactive demand ofpower supply network and the transmission losses due to the transportation of reactivepowcr,increase the power factor,this has relation to major issue of sustainable development,itget high attention of Chinas some departments. The high power factor intelligent Rcactivcpower compensation Controller,which can detect voltage and current then ifgure out powerfactor and reactive power,and it realizes auto switching capacitor bank and reactivecompensation according to definite control I aw,the system can get optimal power,become acentral issue of domestic and foreign research.In this paperrconcept of reactive power compensation is elaborated and its developmentof domestic and foreign and actuality arc also given.This paper analyses the basic theory andcontrol mode of rcactive power compensation, also the wiring mode of compensate capacitor,expounded the TSC principles of static var Compensator.On these basis,a high power factorintelligent Reactive power compensation Controller is designed.Not only the controllerhardware is given,which including dctcction circuit,peripheral circuit of ATT7022A,controlthrow and cut circuit,power circuit,storage circuit,communication circuit etc.Also The Clanguage and modularity method arc used in the software system.The procedure lfow chartsand detail are given as meanwhile.The Controller use a high accuratc accuracy,three-phaseclcctric,metrology chip ATT7022A,which can enhancc the precision of power grid parameteridcntification,not only reduce the calculation volume of CPU,but also simpliifes design workof the software.By using the memory chip AT24C16in data storage,the storage capacity andreliability is improved.ATMRGAl28is utilized as the main process unit and methodcombining power factor control and reactive power control is used as the system workingmode.lt reasonably switched compensator capacitors,can effectively improve the power factor of the grid. In addition the controller can link other metering device through RS-232,convenient it with an external data exchange.At the end of this paper, we proposed this article’s shortcomings, put forward the methodof improvement and prospect of this research.
