Guangdong Province is an economic province in China, and also a big manufacturingprovince. The machinery manufacturing industry, as an important part of the manufacturingindustry, obtains an overwhelming share in the province. Generally, industrial building designis on the basis of the process design, and develops towards scientification, refinement, automation, and rationalization. The production process is the important foundation for thefactory building design. How to deal with the relationship between the above two is the keywhether the design can be established or not. This dissertation, starting from the perspective of the production process and variousconstraints, explores the plane and space forms of machinery manufacturing industrialbuildings with the experience in industrial building design. In the same time, through theanalysis of several actual engineering design cases of various types of industrial projects inrecent years, the dissertation deeply and systematically studies the common types ofproduction process, and the machinery manufacturing industrial construction layout andbuilding monomer design. The dissertation forms the theoretical basis to guide the plant designin practice, and provides technical support on building an industrial park with multi-function,reasonable layout, clear lines of traffic flow and beautiful environment. The main contents of the dissertation consist of three parts:The first part is the introduction, including the research background, content, researchmethods and route, and the situation of related fields. The second part is the basic research, including the second, third and fourth chapters. Thesecond chapter is to study the production process and sort out its decisive part in thearchitectural design. Chapters III and IV elaborate respectively the influence of productionprocess to the factory overall layout and design of monomer buildings by actual cases. Thetwo chapters also study the scientification, standardization and rationalization of mechanicalmanufacturing industrial building design. The third part is Chapter V. This chapter illustrates the application of variousarchitectural design techniques and concepts based on production process in the masterplanning and the design of monomer buildings in these industrial enterprises through someengineering design examples. Hope to provide a good reference for future plant design.
