| Ever since the Chinese economic reform, people were getting widerchoices of transport because of fast growth in city transportation.As theincrease in population and number of transport, it leads to trafficcongestion and traffic safety; it has become a major problem. Footbridge,one of the key roles in city transportation, it is playing an importantpart in solving such traffic problem.On the other hand, more and more high-rise buildings and ultra high-risebuildings standing in the new towns result in the high building densityand high traffic flow in the working zones and commercial zones. Therefore,3to5meters wide footbridges can no longer sustain the flow of pedestrian.In order to coordinate the vehicle flow and pedestrian flow, it is necessaryto separate the two by building wide-bodied footbridges amount theconstructions.Steel structure, which is high intensity and light weight, had beenwidely used in urban bridges and long-span bridges. This paper is goingto analyze the wide-bodied truss footbridge profile, design, constructionand applications with the steel structure dynamic characters. Somefootbridges projects, such as footbridges in Zhu Jiang new town, arementioned in this paper. In particular, this paper sectioned steel trussfootbridge into6m,10m,15m and20m wide at which B/Lï¼1/5ã€1/3ã€1/2and1/1.5, and analyzed internal forces in different situations. This examplecan analyse the different characters between internal force, deflection,vibration frequency in “Narrow Footbridge†and “Wide Footbridgeâ€.According to the technical analysis of wide-bodied truss footbridges,it definitely improves our knowledge of all bridges, and for future project,all of these would help significantly. |
