Traditional Street Space Analysis Of Ancient City Area Of Zhengzhou City

Along with the comprehensive construction of the city, traditionalstyles and cultural characteristics are disappearing in the the district historical streetsof the ancient city.In the process of the old city reconstruction, how to reproduce thehistoric street traditional texture and retains the original form of the city, that is theproblem people are facing, meanwhile the historical and cultural heritage protectionhas received increasing attention with acceleration and transition of the economy andhas the important theoriodical and practical value. At present, the mall site protectionand planning measures are being carried out, but the protection investment efforts ofthe district space within the mall site still need to strengthen.The research object is the street space of of the Zhengzhou old city, the old citylimits from the west of the Chengdong Road, the south of the Jinshui Road,the east ofthe North Street,and the north of the Chengnan road. Through combining of thesurvey and chart analysis, from the aspects of the street space scale and proportion,the use function of architectural form, performance and other aspects, it makes theoverall summary and analysis. Also it combines with the existing Street ofhumanization standard texture, space, function and geographical position andintroduces philosophy of a new Street Lane sharing business, and constructs walk wayof the cultural characteristics of business, entertainment, leisure."From the point ofthe city development, Zhengzhou old district it should advance with the times fromthe aspect of the infrastructure and culture protection and learn some things from thetraditional and original blocks, streets and alleys so as to achieve integration betweenthe old and the new city.According to the investigation and analysis of the results, the College StreetHistoric District puts forward some planning intention. The main results are asfollows:(1) From the analysis of the process of development of the city, for the traditionalneighborhood streets texture, spatial form and the historical block protection features,it proves from the theory angle of "organic update" and" fusion and symbiosis" and demonstrate the necessity of the planning the old city historical block space.(2)Using the history, theory and representative case study as the basis, throughthe studies of the space scale, proportion and morphology of the traditional street, itmakes overall plans, harmonious development from the" protection" and "update"aspects from the point of the historical heritage protection.(3)From the investigation and analysis of the historic site in old city street space,it chooses a historical and cultural street, Shuyuan street from the point of the timerelationship. It points functional planning intention from the characteristic of theShuyuan street cultural district and pay more attention to the historical context in thecontinuation of city development.
