The submarine charge system consists of three charge devices, controlpanel, exhaust and piping systems and other components, whose main functionis to submarine charge. During the operation of submarine we need to charge itand need to rise to the surface. We can see that we not only ensure that for thecharging device can provide sufficient power for the submarine, but also ensurethat the concealment of the submarine during the charging process. Therefore, itseems very important to research the reliability of submarine charging system. In addition, when the working equipment failures, the reserve system should goto work immediately, which requires the transfer of work, this transfer usuallyneeds switch to work. So the quality of the transfer switch is an important factorthat influences the reliability of the submarine charging system. This paper research mainly consists of the following three parts:Part One: The expression of the reliability for the submarine chargingsystem is obtained under the condition of transfer switch’s unsafety, unreliabilityand cold reserve. In addition, computer simulation is used to simulate the submarine charge system and verify accuracy of the expression of the reliability.Consequently the theoretical basis is provided.Part Two: The reliability model of submarine charging system has beenestablished under the condition of transfer switch’s unsafety, unreliability andwarm standby. The expression of the reliability for the different cases submarinecharging system is obtained.Part Three: The Fiducially confidence limits of the reliability forsubmarine charging system is studied on the basis of fixed number testing dataof charge set and pass-fail testing data of switch under the condition ofunreliability. The precise and the approximate Fiducial confidence limits ofsubmarine charging system are obtained with unsafe and unreliable switch.Further more, the approximate confidence limits of submarine charging systemare obtained by two methods of moment fitting and MML. Finally, thesimulation shows that two methods are feasible. Finally, the research work is summarized and new research directionssubmarine charging system’s reliability is proposed.
