As one of the most basic components of the city, the coverage of impervious surface produce a series of eco-environmental effects on urban local climate, urban hydrology, urban biodiversity, urban heat island effect, urban non-point source pollution and so on, with the development of the city. As an important factor in environmental impact assessment of urbanization, urban impervious surface is gradually seen as vital to interaction on the mechanism of the land use/cover change-ecosystem processes-global climate change, which influenced of urbanization and global environmental change.The study area is located in Beijing. The urban impervious surface of Beijing is extracted with a means of remote sensing technology based on Linear Spectral Mixture Model. Then Beijing urban impervious surface space-time pattern is analyzed and its planning application is explored:1、 In the analysis of existing impervious surface estimation metho-d,based on the Landsat TM5and the Landsat TM7images, the ecology of impervious surface, vegetation, soil and other cities landscape elements is directly extracted with Linear Spectral Mixture Model quantitative analyzed of remote sensing techniques. Owing to very good image effect, without considering the impact of clouds and shadows, the Beijing urban impervious surface coverage is calculated with high-albedo and low-albedo surface features coverage. The results show that the method can accurately extract impervious surface and effectively reduce the error of the synonyms spectrum caused.2、 Combining with the same period built-up area maps and land use data, the spatial expansion process of the Beijing urban land is analyzed since1992.3、 I extract Beijing urban impervious surface space maps and analyze growth of impervious surface space on urban spatial expansion of Beijing city since1992.4、 Beijing urban impervious surface area differentiation (Ring Circle, the city zoning) characteristics is analyzed in2010.5、 According to the Beijing urban green space vector data, combination of mapping the distribution of built-up area green space of Beijing and analyzing of different regions (Ring Circle, the city zoning) in GIS, combining with the internal structure of the functional status quo of Beijing,which propose development countermeasures about Beijing urban planning green development.
