As people living standard rise ceaselessly, the requirements for the automobile safety,comfort and the vehicle steering stability are higher and higher. Steering system is theimportant devices to control the automobile driving route and direction, it affect the carhandling performance and stable performance directly. Active steering technologyintegrate a set of dual planetary gear mechanism between steering plate and rack-andpinion steering machine, It is used to provide turning wheels superposition steering Angle,so as to realize variable transmission function. The key is the study of control system, Theprinciple is that sensors collect car driving information and outside environmentinformation and put them to the controller, After controller calculation, it send instructionsto the corresponding actuators to change steering transmission ratio and revise the driverturns of operation, so it done accurately driver’s driving intention, improved the stability ofthe vehicle. At the same time, the system of mechanical connection makes drivers directperception real pavement feedback information. So automobile active steering system bothcan not affect the driver road feeling and can improve the vehicle steering stabilityeffectively, representing the steering technology development trend.This topic aim at the need of the road traffic safety and domestic and foreignintelligent transportation systems and automobile electronic technology application statusand development trend, combine traffic safety engineering, automobile electronictechnology, control technology multidisciplinary theory and From the necessity, feasibilityand practicality and economy Angle, etc, research control technology for vehicle steeringto modify the wrong operation. First establish mathematic model of the system, includingautomobile driving road model, vehicle steering driving system dynamics model and dualplanetary gear transmission model. Then analysis the system mathematical model,Establish the general structure of the whole system and realization scheme. Finally, design the controller using single chip computer programming to realize the control performanceof the system.It is an experiment to verify controller in the ending part of this paper. Controller anda computer connect by a serial port, sent required data to the controller using serialcommunication, monitoring and analysis the operation process and control results. Testresults show that the design of automobile active steering controller can stable operationand can control according to the model of vehicle steering steering accurately,it has goodreliability and accuracy, and can effectively improve vehicle stability.Vehicle active steering technology research is the development trend of domestic andforeign automobile intelligent,it can guarantee the stability and the flexibility of the vehiclesteering, can avoid the steering crashes, it has a big role for the safety of automotivesteering, has great application prospect and economic prospects.
