As the important part of the differential, the performance of spur bevel gear has a directimpact on the gear’s transmission efficiency. Because of the precision forging technologyhave outstanding advantages in manufacturing efficiency, saving materials and workinghours, thus precision forging spur bevel gears are widely used in actual production. With thedevelopment of the car industry, the transmission quality requirement for the gear is alsobecoming higher and higher. Especially, at the condition of high speed and heavy-load, therequirements that the stability of the gear transmission, the sports accuracy and bearinguniformity are getting more strict.Although we can improve the accuracy of the transmissionthrough improving the manufacturing precision of the gear, the elastic deformation of the geartooth when the gear pair meshing together will still make vibration and noise. The practiceand the theory analysis have proved that the reasonable modification to the tooth profile cangreatly reduce the impact when the gears mesh into and rodent out, improve the loaddistribution and reduce vibration and noise. The modification technology can meet therequirements of the gear’s development direction to high speed, heavy-load, and low noise.The3D modeling accuracy of spur bevel gear can affect the subsequent simulationresults of finite element analysis, and manufacturing precision. As the profile of spur bevelgear is relatively complex, many scholars are using the principle of back cone to make theentity modeling, but this method is not accurate enough. Making use of the method thatcombining the matlab and the solid-works, the paper realize the3D modeling of sphericalinvolute spur bevel gear, which not only improve the modeling efficiency but also themodeling accuracy. In order to study the influence of the modification parameters on theperformance of the spur bevel gear, combined with the modification parameters designed, Ifinally complete the3D model of the spur bevel gear which meets simulation’s need, and thisprovides a certain technical support for the establishment of the finite element model. The analysis software-ANSYS/LS-DYNA is used during the process of spur bevel geardynamic simulation analysis. The paper introduces the process of establishment about thespur bevel gear contact finite element analysis model, of which including the definition of therational unit, grid division, boundary conditions and the load of loading. The paper analyzes the change law of the influence that the modification parameters on the deformation and thestress of gear when the changing load is existing in the process of the spur bevel geartransmission, and abstracts two results—the axial spur bevel gear acceleration and angleacceleration to analysis the influence that the modification parameters on dynamic response ofspur bevel gear. The results of Finite Element Analysis were proved to be credible bytheoretical calculations. In the actual work process, the assembly error of the spur bevel gear is also inevitable, the influence of the error on the work performance of the gear is also significant. In order toexplore the influence that the modification parameters on the work performance of theassembly spur bevel gear, the paper makes contact dynamic simulation analysis by the usingof the analysis software-LS-DYNA, and calculates the stress distribution and deformation ofthe gear tooth when the bevel gear pair is under different deviation of the crossed axis angle, analyses the influence on the stress and the strain when the deviation of the crossed axis anglematching with the size of repair form quantity, and the simulation experiment results havecertain reference value to the practical production.
