The steel tubular truss structure is a typical structure system of good properties which is used widely in large-span spatial structure in recent years, since it has excellent mechanics characteristic. A roof structure with steel tubular truss in this article is taken as the main object of this research. The main research contents including:First, load behavior of this structure under numbers of load combination is calculated by SAP2000software, therefore, the force distribution and deformation are known.Second, stability analysis including linear buckling analysis and geometric nonlinear analysis are analyzed by SAP2000. The stability and ultimate bearing capacity of upper triangular truss are obtained. On the other hand, the ultimate bearing capacity of the lower two span truss beam is analyzed.Third, modal analysis of the steel tubular truss structure is carried out, and the natural vibration frequency and modes of the structure are obtained; the time history analysis and the response spectrum analysis are considered to understand the action of the structure in seismic.At the end of this article the research above is summarized, and some favorable conclusions are contained, and some problems need to be solved in the future are pointed out.
