| With the large ship development, cause a ship propulsion system work overload, increase the size of the propeller shaft, weight increase, leading to the stern tube bearing end by pressure increases, appear " edge effect ", make the bearing and shaft of the contact pressure distribution is uneven, easy to produce the serious wear and vibration, bearing service life, safety and reliability.The paper presents the application of a new type of ship shafting bearing damping type tail bearing aims to reduce the tail bearing " edge effect ", improved tail bearing contact pressure distribution and cooling effect, screening new bearing material, improves the service life, reduce the vibration level. This paper applies the finite element method, the ordinary tail bearings and damping type tail bearing are analyzed and compared.(1) Damping bearing and physical bearing contact model are built in ANSYS. contact on the setting and the tail shaft and bearing contact studies. Research shows that, compared with common damping bearing and tail shaft can increase the contact area, the contact pressure distribution is more uniform, the damping bearing can change the contact pressure distribution of bearing.(2) At the same time with finite element modeling method of rear pivot bearing of the exact location of the computing research, calculate the tail pivot bearing position in the rules of classification society (1/4-1/3) L. In the calculation of the pivot on the basis of calculation is proposed, the bearing stiffness model method.(3) Tail shaft bearing and thermal structure coupling contact model are established in the ANSYS software.
