The oil crisis’outbreak has caused a wave of electric vehicle research upsurge since1970s.Today, not only the energy crisis; fragile ecological environment is to speed up the development of new energy industry. Human pays much attention to electrical vehicle for the non-emission, thus it walks in the forefront of the energy revolution. Therefore, we need to vigorously promote the development of electric vehicles. Because the electric car is not only the way getting out of dilemma now, but also represents the direction of the future of green energy.As a kind of transportation, the bus has most close relations with the public. But in the past ten years many cities in our country appear traffic jams. The bus often works in high fuel consumption and high pollution discharge conditions. In recent years, with the development of electric vehicle technology, EV can basically satisfy the requirements of the use as a kind of bus. More and more electric buses run on the road. So far, pure electric bus is one of the hot developments in electric vehicle, and is also the focus of national policy support.This paper first introduces the current situation of the development of electric vehicles and compares the trend of the development both at home and abroad, then state the advantage of developing electrical bus.Introduces the choice of the main components of the power train system of electric vehicle based on the traditional theory. The related parameters of storage cells, the motor and the gear ratio of the driveline are designed on the basis of theoretic and engineering analysis, and confirmation of the main parameters is further discussed through the calculation to the specific vehicle The main purpose of this paper is designing power matching of electrical bus which use EMT as core part of power. In addition, it determined the parameters of the power battery. The paper introduces the structure and advantage of EMT. After the power system built, the design of power system control scheme is set up. Based on the various parts of control requirements and the characteristics of EMT system, choose the right parts involved in the system. The most important of EMT is shifting control. The paper state several AMT shifting control strategy specifically and compare their performance in different shifting control strategy. After state the advantages of EMT compared with AMT, the EMT’s control strategy is put up. According to the EMT system shifting strategy, the EMT system in different working conditions of the shift characteristics are divided specifically, and several normal shifting control strategies are analysis. Translated the control strategy into control algorithm and language C to built the EMT’s shifting control strategy is. Finally, dyno test is experiment on analysis the EMT’s shift performance involve detection experiments and performance test. This paper compares the shift characteristics in different torque and different shifting point, determined the EMT system optimal shifting point. Continuous automatic shift control strategy and manual in shift control strategy are also verified.
