As resent years, automotive industry in our country is in the prosperousdevelopment and with the improvement of people’s living standard, China has enteredinto the vehicle first power consumption. But as the cost, at present our countryrestricts basic for manual transmission, manual transmission will increase the driver’swork intensity, especially at urban traffic. The vehicles with automatic transmissionare not only convenient operation, shift smoothly, safe and comfortable, but also canshift in the best time which will enhance driving comfort, reduce driving fatigue. Soautomatic transmission vehicles selected by more and more consumers, especiallywelcomed by new drivers.In order to meet the consumesrs requirement for convenient and comfortable,JMC began to independently develop a SUV with automatic transmission.In the research and development of automatic transmission vehicles, we need toanalysize torque converter and automatic transmission performance, as well as to theengine and drive system to achieve the customers and countrie increasingly strict toperformance and fuel economy requirementsThis paper combines to the automatic transmission project of JMC, research tothe SUV’s shift schedules. The research content is list as below:Analysing AT structure characteristics and working principle also engine fullload curves, fuel consumption characteristics and the characteristics of the SUV torearsch two parameters power shift schedule, economic shift schedule, comprehensiveshift schedule. In additionally, to rearsch the lock up schedule of torque converter lockup clutch, manual mode shift schedule, slope modes etc. Then develop the twoparameters economy shifting schedule, power shift schedule and comprehensive shiftschedule to satisfy customer’s performance and fuel economy requirementsResearch the function, characteristics, structure and the application method ofCruise software, analysize in detail the simulation setting and parameters of themodule. To confirm the appropriate control module for torque converter lock up clutch and transmission control, finish the setting, selecting and adjusting ofparameters and properties. Use Cruise software tools to set up the vehicle model,simulate the performance and fuel economy of the power model economic models andnormal mode, analyze the simulation results, demonstrate the feasibility andeffectiveness of the proposed shift schedules.Finally, base on the simulation results, use ETAS INCA software to do vehiclecalibration to get the feasibility and effectiveness of the shift schedulesThe result of this paper has significantly contribute to the vehicles withautomatic transmission...
