A vibration machine, a type of machinery that utilizes vibration principle, is widely applied in various engineering machinery and processes. According to anti-resonance theory, if the excitation frequency is equal to anti-resonance frequency, the system will take place driving point anti-resonance or translational anti-resonance. As anti-resonance occurs, the vibration amplitude of corresponding subsystem will be zero (undamped) or minimum (damped). The anti-resonant vibration machinery based on principle of anti-resonance has more superiority than traditional vibration machines, and become a research hotspot.This thesis studies the anti-resonance problem of a vibration machine with horizontally arranged exciter. After obtaining the dynamic equations of the vibration machine by Lagrange principle, two anti-resonance frequencies of the vibration machine are found out, then the effects of damping have been considered. It is found that even without damping, the vibration amplitude of lower body can not be zero, that is, there is a horizontal movement always. The system characteristics is simulated by MATLAB, including frequency ratio, mass ratio, subsystem frequency ratio, damping ratio, stiffness ratio are taken into account. What have been done above provide a basis for the selection of anti-resonance point of vibration machine.Because many parameters contribute to the vibration amplitude, after examining the impact of system parameters, this thesis puts forward an optimization model aiming at the upper body’s amplitude meets the requirement, meanwhile the lower body’s amplitude is minimum. With the utility of MATLAB and its GUI programming method, an optimization design based on genetic algorithm for working point has been carried out.Vibration synchronization theory has crucial practical value, for it can simplify the mechanical structure design, facilitate the machine’s maintenance and make the machine operates stable. Consequently, the vibration synchronization of the anti-resonant vibration machine with horizontally arranged exciter is researched in this paper. With the method of difference between two mean rotative moments, the synchronization factor of the system is derived. Through analyzing the system stability, the stability factor of the system is worked out. The result points out that only the state1(phase difference belongs to-90°~900°) is stable.
