| Video surveillance technology plays an important role in expressway monitoringsystem. Because of the increasingly demanding for image quality, the network topologystructures of traditional surveillance systems became more and more difficult to cascade andmanage. In this situation, advanced video light transmission technology (VLTT) is studied.Through the analysis for VLTT and actual demand of expressway monitoring system, areasonable and efficient application framework is designed. By that, a convenient andpractical expressway monitoring system can be achieved.This paper is organized as two parts. In the first place, current expressway monitoringsystem is briefly reviewed, particularly for the expressway video transmission mode. Bypresenting the drawback of current video transmission technology, the inner technicalstructure of VLTT is researched, such as light transmission, light exchanging and H.264.This work mentioned above provided the reliable technical support for the designing of areasonable expressway monitoring system based on VLTT.Secondly, based on the special characteristic of VLTT and the demanding ofexpressway monitoring system, a reasonable expressway monitoring system based on VLTTis designed. This work is constructed in the basis of the reconstruction project of Xi Baohighway monitoring system. Through the research of actual structure demand for Xi Baohighway monitoring system based on VLTT, the function of hardware configuration and thesite location are illustrated. By consulting the previous strategy of Xi Bao expresswaymonitoring system, the simulating platform for achievement of expressway monitoringsystem based on VLTT is constructed. By the manual or automatic testing for relevant indexusing the VM700video measuring machine, the simulating result is absolutely in keepingwith the “Quality Inspection and Evaluation Standards for Highway Engineering Section2Electrical and Mechanical Engineeringâ€(JTG-F80/2-2004). In the meantime, the design ofXi Bao expressway monitoring system base on VLTT is feasible for current monitoringdemand. It supplied a new concept for further development of VLTT and the design ofexpressway monitoring system. |
