In recent years,semi-rigid base asphalt pavements always produce a series of functionaland structural damage seriously and early which severely shorting the life of the road. Andbecause the flexible base asphalt pavement used in the high-grade highway project hasachieved very good results, domestic scholars also began to make some initial explorations onflexible base asphalt pavement, But the research isn’t systematic and the Applicableconditions of flexible base asphalt pavement in unknown which in particularly restricting theuse of asphalt pavement with flexible base, the research just stop at road test phase,therefore,this paper system study the applicable conditions of flexible base asphalt pavement In thecondition of the special climate environment and traffic conditions in Jilin province.thisresearch has a great significance to the popularization of flexible base asphalt pavement inJilin province and even a national.First, This article investigate the Special climatic and environmental conditions ofseasonal frozen area in Jilin province, analying the most unfavorable State of asphaltpavement under special environmental conditions--high-temperature state and springthawing period. And Measured the actual base parameters of pavement by Simulating thenegative status in lab. And then developing the typical structure of asphalt pavement withflexible basein according with domestic and international experience. Researching andanalying the mechanical response of pavement structure in different soil base strength、high-temperature state and spring thawing period used the soft of ANASYS.Come to theConclusion of the flexible base asphalt pavement’ applicable conditions in different soil basestrength and after exposed to high temperature and freeze-thaw cycles. Secondly, the analysisof several typical road traffic situation in Jilin province, came to the southeastern part of Jilinprovince traffic loads of conclusions, then determined the loading mode of heavy-load anddynamic load, and also use the ANASYS anysising the mechanical response of the flexiblebase in overloading in different circumstances and at different speeds. Come to the conculionsof asphalt pavement with flexible base for heavy-load and dynamic load. Finally, determinedthe scope of special seasonal frost environment and traffic loading conditions.in jilinprovince.
