The Design Research On Public Inhabited Environment Of The New-age Peasant Workers

The public inhabited Environment is an essential part of people’s daily life. As a kindof social culture, inhabited environment with distinct time, geography and culturecharacteristics is the external embodiment of idea and consciousness.The New-age Peasant Workers boarding on the stage with new look have beenmaking great contribution on the development of China’s urbanization process. However,they are isolated to urban life, which result in the magnification of the differentiation ofliving level. Their dwelling environment is relatively under the criterion of urban life.They are lacking of public spaces and good living environment.Under this background, My thesis mainly studies the environmental design which is aspecial design to special groups of the public places where the new-age peasant workergather and analyzes the living habits and leisure behavior of young peasant workers atEast Lake High-Tech Zone in Wuhan and summarizes the worker’s characteristics andenvironment requirements of this region.When making the research, we choose certain space places as the entry pointconsidering their most significant feature of mobility and tabernacle. And I will analyzeand investigatefrom the point of environment outside building, transportation system,green environment, environmental details and specific cultural and psychologicalenvironment or spirit derived from the fixed place respectively.I will research on the interaction between environment and outside public activity,the correlation between environment and human being and the correlation among personsunder the background of post-modern industrial production and new technologyrevolution, and then put forward the principle for creating public psychologicalenvironment in area where people of a certain ethnic group live in gathered communities.I analyze the civil apartment of peasant worker and compare their advantages anddisadvantages with the methods of analysis and comparison, find out the remainedproblems and put forward relative reasonable solutions under the theory of environmentalpsychology and landscape architecture. Taking the transform of dormitory area at theindustry park of Foxconn for example, it aims to demonstrate and conclude the general design specification in gathered communities (Public Rental Housing, low-cost housing,etc) of new-age peasant worker’s public places environmental design in Wuhan.
