Many Overload truck bypass national and provincial arterial highways or rural roads toescape detection of overload and hill toll,resulting in deterioration of the pavementperformance and decline of ride quality. For the actual situation of Hebei arterial highwayseverely damaged, the overhaul task becomes exceptionally heavy,but the technology ofoverhaul is not mature enough, the overhaul program proposed no basis, subjectivity isrelatively strong, and there is still no specific overhaul engineering norms or guidelines, soresearch on overhaul technology of asphalt pavement for arterial highway under heavy loadhave very important practical significance of improving the level of the overhaul.Firstly,make survey on traffic composition and axle load spectrum on Hebei typical road,find out the Hebei Province arterial highway traffic conditions, provide parameters tomechanical calculations later.Then select representative sections make disease survey andsummarizes the characteristics of the major diseases of arterial highway in Hebei Province,select reasonable evaluation indexs, divided the pavement condition into five levels.secondly,after study the relationship between the surface deflection of old road and the equivalentmodulus of rest layer after milling,make out the nondestructive method of determine thethickness of milling.This article based on the data of distress and traffic composition and axle load spectrumon arterial highway of Hebei Province, in-depth analysis of the various factors affecting roadoverhaul,then use ANSYS to make mechanical analysis,consider the feasibility of theoverhaul structure from the theoretical view,finally make out the recommended structure ofashpalt pavement for arterial highway under heave load suitable for Hebei Province.Finally study the use of cold recycled materials in the overhaul, make out therecommended overhaul structure of cold recycled,and analysis the influence of vehicle on themechanical index of pavement when paving the surface course.
