Study On Improvement And Evaluation Of Regional Transportation

With the rapid development of economy and the acceleration of urbanization, thequantity of motor vehicles and traffic volume has increased sharply in urban area. The trafficblock and congestion, along with the increase of traffic accident and the environmentalpollution it has lead to, makes the urban traffic problems become the essential factor of urbaneconomic development restriction and the impact of urban residents daily life. The rapidincrease of quantity of motor vehicle and traffic demand will cause regional traffic blockwithin partial area of city and then often spread to a considerable scope. The regional trafficblock impacts the normal micro circulation system of city traffic and then become hot spot oftraffic block and congestion of the city, which will influence the future development ofregion,even the whole city.So the reasonable improvement to these regional traffic spots willeffectively relieve the city traffic problems. The chapter II analysizes concretely the "regionaltraffic problems in the urban area", and put forward in the chapter III of "Improvementmeasures of regional traffic problems".The establishment of evaluation system will solve the issues of blind construction.When the pertinent improvement measures to regional traffic problems or the whole citytraffic problems are puts forward, if can’t predict the implementation of the specific effect, itcannot implement with confidence. Chapter IV put forward "the evaluation method ofregional traffic problems improvement". It evaluates from two aspects of "the safety ofnon-motor vehicle pedestrian" and "efficiency of motor vehicle traffic". And Value of Time（VOT）is introduced within the evaluation of the facilities improvement for motor vehicles.The cost of time in traffic is measured in terms of currency. And the comparison of the changebefore the improvement and after is made by qualitative and quantitative aspects. And it takesthe Beijing zhongguancun region as a case study for analysis and evaluation.
