| At this stage, as the main artery of China’s economic development, the road constructionhas drawn the attention of more and more people, in a sense, especially the quality ofhighway construction, mileage, degree of information technology on behalf of a country’seconomic science and technology, social development level. In recent years, with thegradually increasing of China’s economic development and national infrastructure investment,the road construction is developing rapidly. Therefore, the information construction ofhigh-grade expressways, and the efficient management seem more important.In this paper, the study of information technology in the highway constructionmanagement process, its purpose is to study the application problems encountered inhigh-grade highway construction and management of information systems development andGIS technology in the management of highway construction, to provide efficient, practicalmanagement methods, techniques and means for highway construction unit.The paper will first study the development of GIS technology in transportation industries,describing the features and the application of GIS technology in project management.Subsequently, the paper will focus on building of the Highway ConstructionManagement Information System, including System design objectives, System designprinciples, system architecture, and database development and so on.Finally, completed the secondary development of Highway Construction ManagementInformation System based on the VB+ArcGIS, completed the construction of the HighwayConstruction Management Information System, and it has the management functions indisplaying map data, editing, querying, attributing data management, designing document.Integrated GIS technology, database technology, secondary development andconstruction of procedures, combing with its own characteristics in the management ofhighway construction, this thesis made a scientific research on the informationization of high-grade expressway constriction,it has a far—reaching significance on road constructionand management. |
