The main method is to improve the diesel engine combustion to satisfy the strictemission regulations. The diesel engine combustion is a physical and chemic process which iscomplex and changeable. Experiment is the main combustion research method. The researchmethod used in this thesis is software simulation with FIRE which is developed by theAustrian AVL company. Without the experiment restrict, this software can simulate thecombustion in the combustion chamber and get the particular information which is difficult tomeasure. The direct-injection SL1126diesel engine working process has been numericalsimulation analyzed in this paper. Firstly, analyzing the engine combustion theory make thebasis for the numerical analysis of the internal combustion engine working process, thenestablished the geometric model and the grid model of the diesel engine. And make aselection and application of the relevant parameters of the analytical model in accordancewith the computing requirements. In connection with the internal combustion engine workingprocess, make a three-dimensional numerical simulation including the cylinder spray andcombustion. Detailed showed the cylinder spray development patterns, the spray oil dropletscylinder distribution and in-cylinder combustion pressure field, temperature field, concentration field and cylinder formation characteristics of NOx, analyzed the injectionadvance angle’s impact on the combustion process. From the results of the analysis, the working process in the combustion engine cylinderhas a significant impact on the overall performance of the internal combustion engine, and thecylinder working process numerical simulation can be used to analysis and forecast thechanges in the parameters of the gas flow turbulence, the spatial distribution of the fuelparticles, the concentration distribution of the combustible gas, the cylinder pressure andtemperature distribution, etc., Accordingly, which can further study the performance andemissions of the internal combustion engine, in order to reduce emissions and to improve thepower and economy performance of internal combustion engine.
