With the extensive application of cable-stayed bridge in the construction of long-spanbridges,the harm caused by all kinds of stay cable wind-induced vibration has become thegreat concern of the engineering community. And the wind-rain induced vibration is also oneof the largest forms of vibration amplitude of vibration. Wind-rain induced vibration of cableseasily leads to fatigue of the cable and anchor, causing the bridge deck vibration,seriouslyaffecting the security of the bridge structure, resulting in significant economic losses.Wind-induced vibration has carried out some theoretical and experimental research at homeand abroad, due to the complexity of the problem itself, its excitation mechanism andcharacteristic are still not entirely clear.Based on a comprehensive commentary on domestic and foreign cable-stayed bridgeresearch of wind-rain induced vibration and various assumption, the two degree of freedomwith movement waterline wind-rain induced vibration nonlinear coupled vibration equation ofmotion is established in this paper; Nonlinear vibration equation of motion of cables andwaterline is solved by wind-rain induced vibration theory model simplified by usingnumerical analysis method on the cable; the different environment parameters and systemparameters on the wind-rain induced vibration system and the influence of vibrationdisplacement are analyzed; the intrinsic relationship of the main parameters with cablevibration is described in detail; According to the theory of chaos and chaotic stateidentification method, Lyapunov characteristic exponents are calculated and analyzed with thechanges of the various environmental parameters and system parameters, indicating that themain factor impact of wind-rain induced vibration system periodic movement is the waterlineviscosity and other parameters are relatively weak; through the maximum Lyapunovcharacteristic exponents calculated with the different waterline viscosity coefficient, cable andwater line trajectories as well as pull cable, the waterline vibration time curve, revealing thatthe wind-rain induced vibration system of cable structure exists period doubling, almostperiodic motion and chaotic motion phenomena. The simulation of cables’ motion spiraledwires on their surface indicates that twining spiraled wires on the cable’s surface caneffectively suppress the wind-rain induced vibration of cables. Through Analysis on parameters influence and the application research on nonlineardynamic chaotic motions characteristics of wind-rain induced vibration in this paper, thevibration characteristics and the parameters can be more in-depth understood; the scientificbasis for control cable vibration is provided; the safe operation of cable-stayed bridge isensured, which has important significance.
