In recent decades, with the rapid development of steel-concrete composite bridges in ourcountry, the PBL shear connector’s mechanical behavior gets wide attention,which is a newstyle shear connector to connect steel and concrete. However, the study about new style PBLshear connector is very little, most of which are the push-out tests, and it hasn’t formeduniform norm. The study of PBL shear connectors which are used in the cable-pylonanchorage zone of cable-stayed bridge has almost none. This paper relies on the HongdaoChannel Bridge of Qingdao Bay Bridge, and makes trial and theoretical analysis to the PBLshear connectors, main contents as follows:By using ANSYS finite element simulation theory to analyse the cable-pylon anchoragezone segments, we can get PBL shear connectors’ force transmitting value, distribution andstress changing rule. And then by comparing with the results which is gotten by theoreticalanalysis, we can know that they are consistent, so this.confirms the accuracy and reliability ofthe theoretical analysis.In order to further study the mechanical behavior of PBL shear connectors, we selectsome parameters which influence the mechanical behavior to carry on finite elementsimulation analysis, and study the influence to the PBL shear connector which is leaded by thesome factors such as rebar diameter, anchor plate thickness, don’t consider the frictionbetween steel and concrete and don’t set up the diaphragm, then we will know the mechanicalcharacteristics better.Finally, according to the present situation of the PBL shear connectors group’sdesignation, by the PBL shear connectors’ mechanical characteristics, parameters analysis andsome existing problems now, we put forward the designation basis, ideas and attention points,to provide related reference for the future PBL shear connectors’ research.
