The control system of full automatic high-speed sealing machine achieves therequirement of film packing in different products. Because of its powerful data processing andaxis control functions, it has the characteristic of high precision, high speed and high dynamicresponse. In this paper, based on a practical project, we deeply study the control system of fullautomatic high-speed sealing machine.Firstly, the system’s characteristic and technological requirements of the automaticsealing machine are introduced in the thesis. According to the control requirements andtechnical difficulties of the automatic sealing machine, a general design scheme of the controlsystem is given. On the basis of this, we detailed analyse the control method and strategy foreach servo axis in this system. The motor from No.one to No.four are synchronized by theelectronic gear in a ratio of synchronization, which could ensure the accuracy ofsynchronization. According to a setting cam curve, the No.3motor is synchronized by themoving sealing motor, which could assure the gentle nature of the synchronous curve andreduce the mechanical vibration when the machine runs with a high speed. In the sealingcourse, the sealing motor seals products in the the way of the combination of the speed controland the position control, which could ensure the quality of sealing. In addition, by the way ofthe function of position compensation, No.3motor could assure the accuracy of the product’sdistance.Other motors, like film-feeding motor, excess-material motor and externaltransmission belt are controlled by the inverter. After that, the above control requirements areachieved by the detailed design of hardware and software.In the system, Siemens Simotion D435is adopted as the motion controller. Combinedwith its power supply module, single/double motor module, remote I/O site,human-machine interface, servo motor and other hardware, a motion control system isconstituted through the communication protocol like Profibus-DP, MPI, Drive_CliQ and etc.In this paper, hardware configuration, network configuration and software design aredescribed in detail. Finally, the system results of the debugging and operation are given.The control system of automatic sealing machine, developed in the paper, has been usednormally in the factory for half a year until April2012.The system has the advantage of highdegree of automation, running fast, accurate, safe and stable.
