Yan’an City, is located in the Loess gully area is typical of Valley City. With the dramaticexpansion of city size, have become increasingly prominent contradiction between the peopleand land, the ecological balance has been varying degrees of damage, rely on the limitedspace of River Road infinite vertical spread to many urban problems, the use of a number ofchannel space, horizontal organic expand Yan’an urban development, the inevitable choice.Based on the concept of eco-city, the channel natural ecological landscape features, from theoverall planning level Yan’an city Loess ditch space development and utilization of themethod carried out a preliminary exploration, trying to scientific use of the precious Loessditch space, the effective expansion improve the shape, optimizing the layout, improve thefunction of the purpose, take the road of sustainable development. This article is divided intofive parts:Part I: background to the study, purpose and meaning; the scope of the study, thecontents of the framework.Part II: related concepts, a common feature of the planning principles and contentanalysis of the theory of eco-city in the mountains, the Valley City planning in the use of lay atheoretical foundation for the overall planning of the channel ecological landforms.Part III: the ecological characteristics of the Yan’an Loess ditch space from the twolevels of natural ecosystems and urban ecosystems research, analyze the current status of thechannel space, problems and the role of natural ecosystems and urban ecosystems, asthe Loess ditch space the spatial planning approach is based on.Part IV: three aspects of the overall framework of the planning process, planning contentthe Yan’an Loess ditch space planning.Part V: Example-Yan’an city channel development and rehabilitation in the overallplanning. Research applied to the actual subject, inspection and design practice.
