Because of its large space to satisfy to its special structural features, the complexstructures of the theaters and the like which results in a large range of the floor is notcontinuous, structural plane is not irregular and distribution of the vertical stiffness is uneven,can not fully grasp such seismic performance and dynamic character of the structure. Ifapplying to the conventional design, it could result in either too wasteful or unsafe in theactual design. Therefore, these complex structure need to be further use of numericalsimulation, and research and analysis of the overall seismic performance, besides the routinenecessary design work.This paper briefly summarizes the characteristics of the theater structure and the damageof earthquake, then the ABAQUS which is a large general-purpose finite element analysissoftware constructs three-dimensional finite element analysis model for a complex theaterstructure. And modal analysis, spectral analysis and elastic-plastic dynamic time historyanalysis have been done. The main research work is summarized as followed:(1)Through the modal analysis of the theater structure, frequency and period are acquired.Then analyze the overall modes and local modes of the structure, and find out the weak partsof the structure.(2)On the basis of the modal analysis, the basic parameters and participation in the modalorder of the spectral analysis are discussed. The analysis of internal forces and deformation forthe structure and components has been done after enter a response spectrum in threedirections respectively. Then calculate the drift angle, and indicate relatively weak layerstructure. The results show that: the structure of the elastic story drift angle to meet regulatoryrequirements.(3)Under the role of multi-earthquake, two actual records waves and an artificial seismicwave of seismic were selected in the site conditions class II. Then the elastic time history ofthe model structure was analyzed, and calculation results of three kinds of seismic waves werecompared.(4)Three seismic waves were selected. The maximum displacement at different time hasbeen acquired after analyzing the structure of seismic performance under rare earthquakeusing the dynamic elastic-plastic time history. The results show that: the elastic-plastic layerdisplacement angle of structure is less than specification limits. It indicated that the design ofthe structure tends to safety.(5)The development of plastic hinges in the structure is analyzed. And find out the developmental law of plastic hinges, and pointed out the important site in structural design.The results of the analysis of this paper provide a strong theoretical basis for seismicdesign and analysis, and a reference value for design of similar structure.
