In this paper, a data processing and display system based on ARM is introduced. Thesystem is applied to Train Control and Management System (TCMS), it processed allrelated data and presented information to train driver by good human-computer interactionsystem. As the environment in which the train located is complex, higher stability of relatedequipments is required.At present, the domestic display devices in TCMS basically reliedon directly purchasing foreign integration equipment, similar products in domestic is less.Foreign products’ price is high and the products are prevalently not easy to maintenanceand upgrade. The purpose of this project is to develop train display system ofself-intellectual property, not only requires to complete basic train display functions, butalso needs to provide relevant external interfaces to meet different application needs.Through analysis and research, this project uses ARM+FPGA structure to completethe development of the train display system. In which ARM processors use Atmel’sAT91SAM9263, mainly to complete the display, keypad, touch, sound broadcast and otherhuman-machine interface function, while the FPGA uses Altea’s2C70of Cyclone2series,mainly to complete relevant timing control and conversion of the system’s external interface.The connection between ARM and FPGA adopts parallel bus connection, speeds up thedata transfer speed between them. The system use two operating systems——Vxworks andLinux, to meet the needs of different occasions.Firstly, the application background and technical index of the subject are analyzed inthis paper, which determines the structure of the system and the type of the hardware.Secondly, analysis and research of the key difficulties were focused on, including theanalysis of IIC bus timing, selection of independent video memory and design of displayinterface circuit. Thirdly, design of all hardware modules are described in detail. And finally,debugging process and test results of various functional modules in the system are given.Debugging results showed that the functions of the whole system met the requirements,relevant test was up to the standard, and the stability of the system was good.
